Vista Peak Preparatory 9-12 Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) recently raised money for breast cancer awareness by selling pink yard flamingos and ribbons.

“Every member of HOSA was expected to sell two flamingos,” according to Katie Law-Balding. “But most of them sold many more than that.”

HOSA is a career and technical association for students who are interested in the medical field. This was the program’s first year at Vista Peak Preparatory.

By the end of two weeks, HOSA raised nearly 400 dollars. All proceeds went to the Susan G. Koman Fund to help find a cure for breast cancer.
