Vista PEAK Preparatory
Vista PEAK Preparatory’s Business Pathway students recently took the bull by its horns at the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge. The event, sponsored by Charles Schwab, is a live, fast-paced stock market simulation where high schools compete against each other to see who can grow their initial investment over a 60 minute period each day for 60 days. The excitement mimics that of the stock exchange trading floor. Teams have to think fast and risk it all in the hopes of growing their portfolio’s net worth.
There were nine teams of Vista PEAK students who were divided into morning and afternoon sessions to compete against schools from across the state. Vista PEAK took first place in both sessions! Each student won a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and a full Scholarship to attend JA Business Week in June.
